The Town of Duxbury is accepting proposals for the purchase of 761 Temple Street, the 2.9 acre Simmons Farm. The Town will give preference to those applications which intend to maintain the property in agricultural use as a primary residence and who demonstrate a commitment to preserve, restore, and rehabilitate the building in accordance with the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures as interpreted by the Town of Duxbury. Proposed renovations or additions to the property will be subject to the standards detailed in the RFP and attachments. The final form of the required legal agreement for historical protection will be negotiated with the Selectboard when the Purchase and Sale Agreement is completed.
An RFP has been issued on February 10, 2023. Submissions are due to the Town by Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM.
